Heelside(HS) Jump
1. The key to control is bending your knees before you start your edge in. If you edge in first and then bend your knees, you will go flat and lose control in the air.

2. Don't land and stop. Keep your direction out toward the flats to land strong and in control. If you land and stop you are just helping the boat pull you forward.

Toeside(TS) Jump
1. To learn the position you need to hold while edging in and jumping through the air, try backward-facing side slides with two hands, in the middle of the wakes at slow speeds. If you can't do the slide, then you will have problems holding the toeside twisted position and the rope will unwrap you in the air. This is why people slide on their heels when learning toeside jumps.

2. Toeside is more about position than pushing with your legs. Bending your legs and your body just causes too many problems. Take a tall edge in and remain tall through the wake, so the wake can pop you. Stay tall through the air until you have to land, then bend and absorb. Learn to pop this way, then start to add some legs and you will really fly.

Frontside(FS) Boardslide
1. For slides like these two, it helps to start from the middle of the wakes and try to slide on the wake, and then work your way to starting on the outside of the wakes to slide the lip.

2. After you get the slide down, try to ollie into the slide and then out of the slide to the bottom of the wake for style.

Backside(BS) Lipslide
1. Try sliding in the back lip position in the middle of the two wakes at 10 to 12 mph before you try it at full speed on the lip of the wake.

2. It helps to use the handle to move your body and work the wake. Move the handle far behind your back to really turn into the position, and then the other way to get out of the slide.
